Internals

This committee’s functions can be summed up in a few words-regional/division councils, ECATs and the office. The committee members constantly monitor the regional/division councils’ activities. We make sure that the national office addresses all the problems of the RCs and DCs. The committee is also in-charge of the ECAT activities. We ensure that all org members are still "alive" by monitoring ECATs’ performance through evaluation interviews and monitoring attendance. We also conduct the ECAT application process. Lastly we make sure that the office cleanliness is maintained. The internals committee is a group of dynamic, energy-driven people. WE WORK IT!

Externals

Nouva Daina Bersales

Basically Externals, fondly called Exte, concerns itself with the Board of Trustees, Alumni and the Institutional Members. They are our lifeline. Moreover, it maintains ties with its institutional partners such as DOST, DepEd, Rotary Club of Makati Bel-Air and FIT-ED, also establishing new ones like with DENR, NYC, foundations, NGOs among others. They will be our source of support. Coming attraction will be an international affiliation or partnership to help strengthen the foundation of PSYSC’s ideals. And how about some dose of some legal jargons and planning such as updating the SEC paper, applying for BIR tax exemption and looking into the study of intellectual property rights?

Affiliation / Membership

Moises Ronette Colobong

The Affiliations Committee is committed to bringing quality and top-grade outcomes in its committee operations. Its functions and areas of concern include, the Science Club Promotions, Science Club Affiliation, Science Club Monitoring and Awards, and Membership Information Management. The committee produces handbooks and modules geared towards disseminating information on how to organize and maintain a science club and also data on ST&E as part of Science Club Promotions. The committee monitors the science clubs’ projects according to their GPOA’s and Accomplishment Reports. The committee arranges a nationwide search for 10 outstanding Science Clubs wherein competent and qualified clubs, members, and advisers receive merits and awards.

Publicity

The Publicity Committee exhausts all the possible channels of information to accomplish its main task: to inform the Public. The committee through the print medium conceptualizes and produces the CATALYST, the official organ of the PSYSC that is distributed to the organization’s affiliate schools. Moreover, the committee had been successful in promoting the different activities of the organization through the major broadsheets and tabloids. Radio and TV plugging is a trend that the PUBCOM has been penetrating for the last 4 years. Different radio stations announce both activities and affiliation of the organization through what they call "bulletin and public service boards".

Marketing

Marketing is defined as a "social and managerial process by which individuals and groups obtain what they need and want through creating and exchanging products and value with others." We, the Marketing committee, seek to live up to this definition. As the organization need resources, both monetary and non-monetary, we tap different companies and organizations to help us while in turn will give them what they also, want, which is mostly advertising and promotion of their products or services.

The main functions of the Marketing Committee are to raise finds for PSYSC and its activities, provide sponsors for activities and at the same time, foster and strengthen relations with the companies, foundations and NGOs.
